Apple iPhone 3G “L” Series Coming in 2009

It should really come as no suprise that there are rumours of a new iPhone 3G model “L” for ‘lite’ coming sometime in first quarter 2009. Really one of the only things ‘wrong’ with the iPhone 3G is that it is quite large compared to some of the other cell phones on the market. The new phone will be approximately 15% smaller and 10% lighter, talk around the boardroom is that the internal memory will be capped at 10 gigs (probably to not upset folks that already own the bigger first series of iPhones). I find it hard to believe they would start a whole new series of phones with such small changes but I guess once you got it right and are selling millions of handsets you just make changes in small increments.
